Most of you probably have figured this out by now, but for those of you who have not, I thought I would explain a fast easy way to get rid of those hundreds if not thousands of unwanted email in your Google gmail account.
I am kinda slow sometimes and actually just learned how to do this, yes I know how to delete 50 emails at a time, I actually have never even really bothered to delete any of the unwanted email in my gmail account because of how much space Google gives you, and I have always filtered my email in this account. My Gmail was almost full so I had to start getting rid of the hundreds of thousands of emails I had.
So log in to gmail, you should be in your inbox
There will be a set of tabs located across the top of your gmail inbox, click the little drop down box located to the left of your tab labeled archive.
Click on all, once you do this there will be a link that shows up across the top of your inbox underneath the tabs that looks like this
All 50 conversations on this page are selected. (Select all 363 conversations in Inbox. Next click on this)
Now it will read, All 364 conversations in Inbox are selected
Then just click the delete tab and let gmail do its thing, if you have thousands of emails like I did……..it will take a little while for them to be all deleted.
Remember how to do this or copy and paste this post somewhere so you do not have to sit and delete email everyday, you can just let it build up and every once in a while clean it out. You should be using filters for your important emails and your safelist anyway.
Here is a post to learn how to set up email filters if you do not know how

P.S. Make sure when you are done in your Gmail account, you close it out after every use. It is against Gmails policy to leave your account open for extended periods of time, it is a good way to get your account flagged if you leave your webpage open to your gmail account while logged in.
